Dorothy Williams *
Dorothy Ann Taylor Williams of Midland, TX died peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Ashton Medical Lodge. She was born March 31, 1937 in Slaton, TX to Lawrence and Imagean Taylor. She was the first of five children, so family was always important to her. After graduating from New Home High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Williams of Tahoka, TX. Together they raised four children; Deborah Ann Choate of Midland, TX; Kelly & Terry Kuykendall of Midland, TX; Michael & Sandra Williams of Chantilly, VA; Mitchel & Laura Williams of Spokane, WA. All will miss her dearly. After starting a family in Lynn County, the family moved to Midland in 1967 where they settled and lived until their deaths. During many of those years Jerry and Dorothy became regular Square and Round Dancers at M-Square Arena. One of her favorite past times was playing with the grand-kids. Granny was wonderful with children and made them feel at ease and much loved. Dorothy is survived by her Siblings Betty & Berry Eisenberg, Randy & Becky Taylor, Carol & Dan Ellington, four children, seven grandchildren; Scotty & Sisley Treadway, Joe & Katie McKinney, Nicole & Steven Sutton, Roy Don & Ashley Kuykendall, Lucca Michael Williams, Dawn & Patrick Kelly, Aaron Williams-Pier & Emma Shockey, and seven great grandchildren; Zachery Wayne Harris, Dean William McKinney, Anne Elizabeth McKinney, Collin Hayes Sutton, Wyatt Williams Sutton, Skylynn Kuykendall and Westyn Kuykendall, Calum Xavier Kelly & Tahlia Eden Kelly. A memorial service is planned for later this year.
