Mary D. Stombaugh
Mary D. Stombaugh, wife of George Stombaugh and daughter of William and Lucy Davis, was born in Milton, October 27, 1838, and died at their home in this place, September 20, 1906, after an illness of only a few days. She was united in marriage to George Stombaugh on January 11, 1866. Her husband and three children, George, Fred, and Mrs. Louie Ingermann, two sisters, Mrs. George Hocum and Mrs. Jesse Poff, and a brother, William Davis, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife, mother, and sister. Almost her entire life was spent in this place and she was held in high esteem. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Hawley, Saturday afternoon. Interment in Riverside.
