Pearl G. Garey
Pearl G. Garey, 70, formerly of Milford Center, died at Milcrest Nursing Center Thursday, Oct. 1 after a long illness. She was a member of the Milford Center United Methodist Church and Blue Star Mothers of America Inc., Chapter 41. She was born May 20, 1911 in Springfield to James and Gertrude (France) Ervin. On June 22, 1929 she married William “Russ” Garey in Kentucky and he preceded her in death in 1976. Surviving are two sons, Dave Garey, Marysville, Rusty Garey, Baltimore, Md., a daughter, Shirley Stidam, Marysville, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Mannasmith Hale Funeral home today, Oct. 2 from 4 to 8 p.m.; Blue Star Mothers service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. G. William Wilcher officiating and interment in Milford Center Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association.
