Sandi Brooke *

Sandi , 79, of Grinnell, died on Friday, March 1, 2024, at UnityPoint Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Grinnell United Methodist Church with Pastor Eric Schubert officiating. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell. A reception will follow at the Grinnell United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at the visitation held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at the Funeral Home in Grinnell.

Sandra Rae was born on December 4th, 1944 in Jefferson, Iowa to Earl and Irene () Blair. She attended elementary school in Jefferson, Iowa. During her high school years, she attended school in Wauwatosa, . In her dad was transferred to Grinnell, and she finished her senior year at Grinnell-Newburg Senior High School. Following graduation, she attended Iowa State University as a journalism major.
On September 4th, , she was united in marriage to Charles Brooke at the United Methodist Church in Grinnell. Their marriage was blessed with this union with two daughters, Kelly and Kristy. Sandi was the office administrator at the Grinnell First Baptist Church for over 25 years. During that time, she developed the Power Point presentation for the weekly worship services. She and Charles taught the Kindergarten Sunday School class at First Baptist Church for several years.
Family was always a very high priority with Sandra. She was extremely proud of her three granddaughters, Sarah, Grace, and Alexis. She had a strong passion and interest in gardening and music. She enjoyed playing in the handbell choir for many years at the First Baptist Church. She also enjoyed playing cards, putting together puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, attending music and theater events, and gazing at the stars and watching the birds from her sunroom.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Kelly (Mark) Cymanski of Lancaster, and Kristy Brooke of Kenosha, Wisconsin; three granddaughters, Sarah, Grace, and Alexis; and her siblings, Jane , Jean , Gary Blair, and Mart Blair. She was preceded in death by her parents.
