Robert B. Shockey
Robert B. Shockey, 63, Of Middle River, MD died Monday, April 13th, 1992 at Franklin Square Hospital at Baltimore MD. Born March 22, 1929 at Old Fields, WV he was the son of the late Seymour and Nellie (Shoemaker) Shockey. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Heavner, and survived by his second wife Diane Weaver. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Karen Jones, Essex, MD, one step-daughter, Kim and one step-son Lonnie and three grandchildren of Baltimore. Also surviving are 6 brothers, Roy Shockey of Old Fields, WV; Raymond Shockey, Dan Shockey Moorefield, WV, Dewey Shockey, Winchester, VA, Boyd Shockey, Brandywine, WV, and Jerry Shockey Old Fields, WV and two sisters Nancy Whetzel, Durgon, WV and Alice Shingleton, Old Fields, WV. He was a US Army veteran, having served in Korea during the Korean conflict member of the V.F.W. Post in Middle River and a member of the Orems United Methodist Church. He retired from General Motors. Services were conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Bruzdzinski Funeral home in Essex, MD. Interment was at the Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Middle River, MD.
