Kirk D Boyd *
Kirk Douglas Boyd, 73, of Humphreys, Missouri, passed away Sunday July 7, 2024, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on September 13, 1950, in Trenton, Missouri to Frank and Bonnadene (Shockey) Boyd, the youngest of seven children.
He grew up primarily in the Humphreys and Galt, Missouri communities and attended school in Humphreys.
Throughout his life, Kirk was primarily employed in construction and labor. He was an excellent painter and overall carpenter. For many years during deer season, he would be seen outside of the Galt Locker, skinning deer until after midnight. He loved all things motorcycles but only if they were Harley Davidsons.
On August 4th 1990, he was united in marriage to Aleta (Lee) Neff at the Campground Church north of Humphreys, Mo.
Kirk is survived by wife Aleta of the home, stepchildren; Damon Neff and Heather Neff, both of Galt, step grandchildren; Colton Neff of Princeton, Missouri, Jaylen Neff of Overland Park, Kansas, and Anna Neff of Humphreys, Missouri, brothers; Gene Boyd of Humphreys and Ray Boyd of Minneapolis, Minnesota, sister; Shirley Southers of Trenton, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters; Roberta Bonnett, Sue Siebenborn and Jerri Duckworth, nieces; Jeanie Spencer, Sara Hall and Sherri Hill and beloved aunt Joan Shockey, and in laws Mack and Leatrice Lee.
A visitation for Kirk will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri, cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted for Anna Neff’s educational fund.
