Lula M Woodring *

Lula Mae Woodring, 96, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at UH-Lake West Hospital. Lula was born on November 3, 1927 in Ellamore, WV the daughter of George E. and Myrtle (Watts) Osburn. She was a graduate of Warren G. Hardy High School Class of 1945. Lula was employed with Reliance Electric for 20 years. A woman of faith, she was a member of Harpersfield United Methodist Church, as well as Edgewater United Methodist Church of Port Charlotte, Florida. Lula enjoyed sewing and gardening. She loved helping children in need, sewing blankets, making bookbags and sending shoeboxes filled with goodies and necessities overseas and to the Indian reservations. During Covid, while in in her 90’s she made hundreds of masks and distributed them to area hospitals and 4H groups. Mrs. Woodring is survived by her children, Audrey (Anthony) Felicijan, Kenneth (Darlene) Keeler, Allen (Dorothy “Dottie) Keeler, and Vonda (Hal) McLenon; dear sister, Corrella Shockey; 8 grandchildren,18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; in 2019 by her dear husband, Paul Woodring, Sr., whom she married on July 28, 1972; brother, George “Buddy” Osburn; and her brother-in-law, James Shockey. A memorial service will be held 12:00PM, on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Ducro Funeral Services and Crematory, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula with, Jeremiah Keeler, Officiating. Friends and family will be received on Saturday from 11:00AM until time of service at 12NOON.
