Alan David Shockey *
Alan D. Shockey, 66, of Lincoln, died on November 17, 2024.
Alan was born April 13, 1958 to Floyd & Aletha (Richards) Shockey in York, NE.
Alan was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was known for his exceptional skills as a carpenter and his many years of service in the construction industry. He spent a significant part of his career working for the city of Lincoln, where his expertise and commitment were highly valued. Alan had a zest for life and enjoyed water skiing, camping, and hunting. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his playful spirit; he was a well-known prankster who brought joy and laughter to those around him. Alan’s legacy is one of hard work, skill, and a love for adventure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Preceded in death by his father.
Survived by his wife, Terisa (Stasch/Zwiebel); step-son, Nathan (Kimber) Stasch; mother, Aletha Shockey; brother, Tom (Sheryl) Shockey.
A Celebration of Alan’s Life will be 10:30 AM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510. Visitation will be 4:00P-8:00P on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family for further designation.
