Mark A Shockey *
Mark A. Shockey Sr. 68, of Vienna, WV departed this life on December 14, 2024, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 27, 1956, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Glen A. Shockey and Ila T. Smith Shockey.
Mark was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School with the class of 1974. He was a Machinist Tool and Die maker. He was a member of the North End Church of Christ.
Mark is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Shockey; one son, Mark (Heather) Shockey Jr. of Cleveland, OH; two daughters, Amy Ray of Murfreesboro, TN., Crystal (Robert) Boyter of Parkersburg, WV; brother, Brian (Brenda) Shockey; grandchildren, Douglas (Kimberly) Gillespie, Abigail Boyter, Lyle Moncier, Leonard (Sarah) Moncier, Robert Moncier, Damon Shockey, Buddy Ray, James (Morelia) Ray, Michaela (Cordell) Harris, Benjamin Ray; nine great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; brother, Keith Shockey; and sister, Vicki Shockey.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday December 18, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Minister Mark Aites officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
