Shirley A Shockey *
Shirley Ann Shockey born October 8, 1942– February 13, 2025, 82 years of age. Shirley was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
She was an avid cow bell ringing Tampa Bay Rays fan. When she was raising her family, she loved to cook big Sunday dinners and have everyone over to eat and play the board game, Aggravation.
Shirley was a great cook and she shared her culinary talents at Horvat’s Pub in Willowick, OH. Shirley and her Partner, Frank Sicurezza, were the owners for 17 years. Friendships made there often turned into family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Brenda Shockey Takacs (Stephen), her son, Ricky Shockey (Nancy), and son, Eric Shockey (Tina Reynolds). Her Grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Daniel, Lindsey, David, and Amanda. Great Grandchildren, David, Devon, Oliver, Elsie, Penny, Anthony, Kairi, AvIn, Eli, Jace, Sabrina, Brielle, Davey, Amelia and Kingston. And nieces, Misty and Savannah.
She is predeceased by her parents, Ersel and Juanita (Simpson) Poling, her Partner of many years, Frank Sicurezza, her sister, Betty Jean (Poling) Childers (Clyde), her son, David, her granddaughter, Ariana, and great granddaughter, Baby Bean.
The Family will be holding a private remembrance on July 12, 2025 at the Tacy Cross Roads Cemetery in Barbour County, WV.
