Mrs. Dorothy Shockey
MRS. DOROTHY BAKER SHOCKEY wife of John E. Shockey, 919 Dewey Avenue, died at John Hopkins Hospital Tuesday morning of complications after an illness of several months, aged 53. She was the daughter of the late John A. and Mamie (Harne) Baker.
Besides her husband, she is survived by daughter, Anne Lindley Shockey, at home, sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hyde, Baltimore, and one nephew.
She was a member and former Sunday School teacher of the Church of the Brethren. The body was removed to the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, with interment in Rest Haven Cemetery. Dr. DeWitt L. Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel Wednesday evening from 7 to 9.
