Houston Shockey
Houston Shockey, 76, of Fayetteville died Aug. 28, 1992, at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, after a long illness. He was a native of Edmond and a retired miner. He was a member of UMW and First Brethren Church, Oak Hill. Surviving: son, Houston “Eddie’ of Fayetteville; daughters, Carolyn S. Buckland and Dorothy A. Cutright, both of Fayetteville; brother, William of Oak Hill; sisters, Savannah Thrower of Grover City, Calif., Viola Smith and Ida Martin, both of Oak Hill; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Dodd-Payne–Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. William Skeldon officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
