Youth Crushed By Falling Auto
FAYETTEVILLE (RNS) – Lawrence Lee Gunter Jr., 14, of Fayetteville was crushed to death at 6:45 p.m. Saturday when a car he was working on fell on him.
He was a member of the ninth grade at Fayetteville Junior High School.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence L. Gunter of Fayetteville; the paternal grandfather, Luther Gunter of Buchanan, Va.; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bennett of Fayetteville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in the First Church of God at Fayetteville with the Rev. William Dreger in charge. Burial will be in the Bennett Cemetery at Fayetteville.
The body is at Dodd-Payne Funeral Home and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the funeral.
