Gene H. Holstein
Pax – Gene H. Holstein, 39, of Eylria, Ohio, formerly of Pax, died at his home at 8 p.m. Monday. Death was attributed to accidental carbon dioxide poisoning. He was employed by the General Motors Corp., was a member of the Fayetteville Community Church and was a veteran of the Army. Born at Fayetteville, Aug. 13, 1935, he was a son of Mrs. Lena Shockey Holstein of Pax and the late Clarence Holstein. Other survivors include his wife, Janice; one son, Wes and one daughter, Kim, both at home; four brothers, Steve of Pax, Donald and Clarence, both of Eylria, Ohio, and Jerry L. of Marshall, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Boyko of Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Betty Christian of Eylria, Ohio, and Mrs. Sandra Maynor of Pax. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Roy Tyree in charge. Burial will be in the Pax Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
