Albert P Weatherholtz *
Albert Philip “Phil” Weatherholtz, age 87 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday morning, August 19, 2022 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on March 20, 1935 at Kessel, WV, he was a son of the late Homer Elmer Weatherholtz and Martha Jean Pratt Weatherholtz. A son, “Mack”, two brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.
Phil was a U.S. Army veteran, loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved gardening or better, telling you how you should be gardening. He was no stranger to hard work; he turned wrenches for many years for his own business.
Surviving is his loving wife, Wandalee Virginia Riggleman Weatherholtz; a son, Travis (Belinda) Weatherholtz of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Cheryl Alt of Moorefield, WV and Pam (Tommy) Clark of Lahmansville, WV; two sisters, Suzella Bean of Moorefield, WV and Bonnie Srout of Hickory, NC; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Harold George officiant. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the U.S. Army and the Moorefield Veteran’s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
