FAIRFIELD — Alvin Wayne Jenkins, age 85 of Fairfield, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield. Alvin was born August 28, 1928 at Osawatomie, Kansas, the son of Ralph and June Atkinson Jenkins. He was born and raised in Kansas and had lived in Kansas, Texas, California and Iowa. He married Lucille Donart on August 23, 1953 at Princeton, Kansas. They were divorced. He was of the Jehovah”s Witness faith. He farmed, drove a semi and was in the landscaping business. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Max and his son Bill. Surviving are his 2 daughters Katie Daley of Fairfield and Betty (Tim) Lockwood of Wimberley, Texas; 4 sons: Ernie Jenkins of Des Moines, Tom (Beverly) Jenkins of Keosauqua, Dave ( Mary ) Jenkins of Rutledge, Missouri and Tim Jenkins of Weldon, Iowa . Cremation has been accorded, as per Alvin”s wishes, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral and Cremation Service of Fairfield.
