Bessie Culp Mellott
Bessie Culp Mellott, 82, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, September 4, 1983 at the Valley View Nursing Home, where she had been a guest for the past four years. Born December 28, 1900 in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late John Brown and Clara Belle Waugh Culp. She was of the Protestant faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mellott; four sisters and three brothers. Surviving are one son, Bernard L. Waugh, Washington, D.C; one sister, Lillie Rankin, Berkeley Springs; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services are being conducted today, Wednesday, September 7, 10: a.m. at the Hunter Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs with the Rev. Henry L. Fisher officiating with burial in the Greenway Cemetery.
