Billy Ray Shockey
Billy Ray Shockey, 65 of Olive Hill died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his residence following a sudden illness. Bill was born June 26, 1951 in Huntington WV, a son of the late Lon and Mazie Mullins Shockey. He retired from KY Electric Steel and was a Christian, saved in 1968 at Whites Creek Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother Lon Edward Shockey. His survivors include his wife, Peggy Blevins Shockey of Olive Hill; one son Billy Ray Shockey Jr of Olive Hill; one daughter, Sherry Blevins of Olive Hill; three sisters, Bonnie (Robert) Prince of Ashland, Joyce Smallridge of Catlettsburg and Elizabeth Cordial of Ashland; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shockey, Chase Shockey, Hailey Shockey, Taylor Shockey, Tyler Callahan and Jason Blevins; one great-grandchild, Kaylee Callahn.
At the request of Mr. Shockey he was cremated and family will have private services at a later date.
