C. Howard Shockey
MEYERSDALE — C. Howard Shockey, 82, a former mayor of Meyersdale, died Sunday at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Herman and Susan (Werner) Shockey. Surviving are two sons, James B. Shockey, Sherrard, W. Va.; H. Leo Shockey, here; a daughter, Mrs. Althea Hoke, Bloomsburg; two brothers, Robert and Lewis Shockey, RD 4; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Sass, Boswell, and Mrs. Jenny Moore, Fairmont, W. Va.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body is at the Price Funeral Home where friends will be received until tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. when it will be taken to Zion Lutheran Church for a service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. George Bowersox will officiate and interment will be in Union Cemetery.
