Carol O’Hara
WOOSTER – Carol O’Hara, 69, and formerly of Girard, passed away, Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center in Akron.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1948, in Youngstown, to Raymond P. and Winona Mae (Crissinger) Slagle and spent most of her life in the Springfield Twp. area (just south of Youngstown).
She graduated from Youngstown State University in 1971 with a Bachelors of Anthropology Degree.
Carol married Michael T. O’Hara on April 15, 1972, at St. Rose Church in Girard. He survives.
She was a devoted homemaker and member of the Girard Library Book Club. She had volunteered for many organizations throughout the years and enjoyed painting water color.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her daughters, Kate (Jeff) O’Hara-Burger and Mary O’Hara all of Bexley; and grandchildren Madailein and Lydia Burger.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with the Rev. David Roberts officiating followed by interment at Reedsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be this evening (Thursday) at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
