Cheryl V. Hickey *

February 14, -September 27, CITY Cheryl, a spirited, intelligent, and loving soul was born in Ogden, in 1947. After a long, hard-fought battle with breast cancer, Cheryl left her mortal journey to join the restful arms of her Savior on September 27, 2015. Cheryl was raised in Oklahoma City by her loving parents, Carl and Eula , and graduated from Putnam City High School. Cheryl was a dedicated and beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was married for 50 years to the love of her life and eternal companion, Arvle Don , with whom she raised three children. Cheryl found great joy in serving as a teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Saints and working in the temple, where she dedicated her life to our Savior Jesus Christ. For the last 20 years of her life, her greatest joy was spending time and celebrating with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband. Cheryl was an incredible example to her family and friends throughout her life. She was hardworking, faithful, dedicated, and fun loving. She was generous with her time and her means, and gave of herself in a passionate way to those she loved. During her 10 year battle with breast cancer, her resilience and faith inspired all who knew her, and left all better to have been a part of her life. She was a fighter, a living miracle, a spiritual giant, and she was always right. You just had to ask her. Cheryl is making room in Heaven for her loving husband, Don Hickey, and her children, Trent and Janet Hickey, Tana and Jimmy Cordy, Kara and Josh McDaniel, and her grandchildren, Mitchel, Isaac, Luke, Eli and Caleb Cordy, Max and Julia McDaniel, her mother, Eula Jones and brothers, , Casey, and Jones, and many other beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Carl Jones, and her brother, Rusty Jones.Visitation with family present will be Thursday, 7-9pm, at Mercer-. Services will be Friday, October 2, 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12020 N. Mustang Rd., Yukon, OK with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
