Heart Disease Caused Death of Well-Known Electrician.

Dan Shockey died at this home in Pendleton about 10 o’clock last evening from the effects of heart trouble, with which he was affected for many years. His death came after an illness of several weeks and was not unexpected.

The deceased was well-known to the people of the city, having been employed here as an electrician for the past 15 years. He came to Pendleton when but a boy and learned the electrician’s trade here. He was employed continuously by Dr. F. W. for the past 15 years excepting for a time that he worked in Portland. On several occasions he met with accidents while at work, and about two years ago fell from an electric pole. But while considerably injured by the drop he recovered and was at work again before many weeks.

The deceased leaves two children who are now with his divorced wife in Seattle, a mother, sister and two brothers. The sister is Mrs. William Bogart, of this city, while the brothers are Charley Shockey, an electrician, and John Shockey, a train dispatcher with the O. R. & N. company.
