Darlene D Shockey *
Darlene D Shockey 88, passed away peacefully Monday, December 11, 2023.
Darlene was born on August 27, 1935, on her family’s dairy farm near Ocono Falls, Wisconsin. She was the first of 3 children of Raymond and Linda Aprill. Although she didn’t care for milking cows, Darlene loved getting up with the sunrise, listening to the birds with a cup of coffee in hand. She always said it was her favorite time of day. She loved to plant flowers in her garden and could tell you the name of any plant. Darlene married her true love in November of 1956, Lloyd Shockey. They stood side by side until his passing in 2016. She had 3 children Michael Bahr, Daniel Shockey, and Ginger Shockey, and six grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Darlene had many friends and her door was always open. Now the doors of heaven have opened for her. She received her wings and is flying with the angels happily forever after. No memorial services are scheduled. Her wish was to be buried with her beloved husband in Yampa, Colorado.
