David N Dehoff *

Spring Grove – David Nevin DeHoff, 77, of Spring Grove, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Campbeltown, Palmyra.

Born June 18, 1944 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Daniel and Veneta (Stevens) Dehoff.

David proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and had attended St. Paul’s Dubs, Hanover. A talented artist, he would design store front window displays throughout Hanover and he would decorate for Christmas at the North Hanover Mall. David was very fond of Christmas, keeping several Christmas trees on display at his home year-round and sculpting many Santa Clause figures from clay. He also made feathered flowers for local magicians, practiced magic when he was younger and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, trees and shrubs.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Judy Smith and husband Glenn, Spring Grove, Terry Dehoff and wife Star, Hanover, Evelyn Snyder and husband Eldon, Littlestown and Steve Dehoff, Spring Grove; several nieces and nephews and his beloved cats, Frisky and Baby.

A service to celebrate the life of David DeHoff will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Rev. Cindy Orewiler officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM and again on Tuesday from 10AM until the start of the service both at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors conducted by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
