rivate services were held for David R. Shockey, Sr., 53, of Concord Twp.David passed away March 21, 2021 at his home. Born March 18, 1968 in Willoughby, he lived in Lake County his entire life.David worked as a machinist. He was a Willoughby Youth Basketball League coach for many years. He took great pride in his Ford Mustang Cobra, a limited-edition model with collector’s plates. One of his happiest moments was driving his daughter in her homecoming parade. David was a proud and loving father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and new grandson.Survivors include his children, David R. (Shanay) Shockey, Jr. and Amanda G. Shockey; grandson, David R. Shockey III; stepson, Kristian Schultz; mother, Shirley Shockey; siblings, Brenda (Stephen) Shockey Takacs, Rick (Nancy) Shockey, and Eric (Tina Reynolds) Shockey. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Shockey.Contributions may be made to The City of Willoughby, 1 Public Square, Willoughby, OH 44094.
