Dennis Peratt *
SPRING LAKE, N.C. – Dennis Peratt of Spring Lake, N.C., formerly of Urbana, died unexpectedly Monday, March 13, 2023, at the age of 76. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death.
Dennis grew up in Williamsville, where he attended high school. He lived in North Carolina, where he enjoyed the warm weather, along with many hobbies, but especially motorcycling with his buddies.
Dennis struggled with a series of health issues but lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Voyles (Sullivan) and Stephanie Shockey (Sullivan), both of Champaign; and two granddaughters, Danielle Denney (Hasty) of Tolono and Katelyn Shockey of Champaign; several great-grandchildren; his older brother, David Peratt of Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and an abundance of friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mimi, and his parents.
Our family is grateful to know that Dennis is finally at peace.
