Donald Shriner *
On April 21, 2024, Donald W. “Bill” Shriner, lost his battle with cancer after five years. He was born on November 6, 1947 and was the son of the late Maurice and Mae (Riefsnider) Shriner. Known to everyone by Bill.
Bill lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. He enjoyed playing sports his entire life. Bill was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Squadron #11 in Frederick and Amvets #7 in Thurmont. He was an avid Orioles fan, Steelers fan and NASCAR fan. He loved feeding and watching deer in the garden.
Bill worked many jobs during his life, then finally retired in 2010 from Ft. Detrick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Cynthia Folckemer Lovisa-Shriner, two sisters, Sherry Bushman and Gayle Marci Shockey, sister-in-law Alice Shriner, sons Michael, Matthew and Donald William Shriner, II. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and friends.
