Tresie Reynolds Thoreson of Jackson, Kentucky, departed this life Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 13 days. She was a daughter of the late Hager Shockey and Dora Burton Shockey born in Frozen Creek, Breathitt County, Kentucky, on January 26, 1934. She was a former accountant for Ardco in Chicago and was also a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Reynolds Clark of Jackson, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Gabriel Reynolds and Kevin Clark; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden Clark, Matilda Clark and Aubrey Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hager Shockey and Dora Burton Shockey; four brothers, Arthur Shockey, Eugene Shockey, Mitchell Shockey and James Shockey; and three sisters, Carrie L. Bryant, Willamae Haynes and Mary Poff. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Serving as pallbearers; family and friends.
