Etta Rosella Heck
Mrs. Etta R. Clark, 70, died at 2:p .m. Tuesday at her home, 301 West High street, after having been in failing health for four years and seriously ill since June 1, this year.
Mrs. Clark was born August 29, 1877, in Whitley county to Andrew and Ellen Slusser Sickafoose. Her first marriage was to Theodore Heck January 24, 1897. He died November 20, 1922. The second marriage was to James Edwin Clark April 17, 1934.
Surviving are the husband, two sons, Melvin Edward Heck, this city, and Marvin Andrew Heck, Logansport; and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Mahoney, Lafayette and Mrs. Iva Snyder, Helland, Mich., of the first marriage; five grandchildren, Chalcie Mahoney, Edna Mae Adams, Mary Louise Adams, Deloris Jean Heck and Daniel Lee Snyder; two step-grandchildren, Mrs. Morris Jennings and Peter Thomas Martin; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert Sickafoose, Goblesville and two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Sours, Huntington county, and Mrs. Iva LaVine, Marion, Ohio.
A son, Walter Cletus Heck and a sister, Mrs. Laura Clark are dead. Step-children by the second marriage are Ralph Clark, Fort Wayne, Mrs. Chlora May Geeting, Mrs. Gertrude Brendel and Sheridan Dale Clark, Whitley county and Albertis Clark, Roanoke. There are seven step-grandchildren by the second marriage.
Mrs. Clark was a member of the Goblesville Evangelical United Brethren church.
The body was taken to the Bailey funeral home and returned to the residence where friends may call until 10:30 a.m. Friday when it will be removed to the chapel of the Bailey funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. I. E. Logenbaugh, Atwood, officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Creek cemetery.
