Evie Hungate Vest
Evie Hungate Vest, age 64, departed this life to be forever with the Lord on Friday, August 21, 1992, at Radford Community Hospital. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Mac Garnand, Riner; Helen and Raymond St.Clair, Christiansburg; and three grandchildren, Brad St.Clair, Dale and Dana Garnand. Also surviving are six sisters, Julia Kirkner, Louise Hungate, Gladys Dickerson, all of Christiansburg; Nina Franklin, Frances Bower, both of Salem; Ethel Faison, Richmond; one brother, Carl Hungate, Riner; and a host of relatives and friends throughout Floyd and Montgomery Counties. The funeral will be Monday, August 24, 11:00 a.m. at the Huffville Church with the Rev. Kenneth Kingrea and the Rev. Larry Meadors officiating with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd.
