George W. Shockey Jr. *
George W Shockey Jr., 54, a meter reader with Lafayette Water Works for 10 years, died in his home at 211 Alabama St. early Monday. He had been in ill health nine years.
A life-long resident of Lafayette, he had worked for the Greater Lafayette Transit Company for several years.
Mr. Shockey was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie (Sharon) Bussell and Mrs. Billy Joe (Linda) Winston, both of Lafayette; four sons, Richard K. Shockey, Montmorenci, Larry W. Shockey, Lafayette, Gary Shockey of Indaianpolis, and Bryan J. Shockey of Fowler; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley (Mary Jane) Stout and Mrs. June Avenelle Campbell, both of Lafayette.
