Goldie Pearl Shockey Scanlon
Goldie Pearl Shockey Scanlon, 74, of Brookston, died in her home that she shared with Clarence G. Rose at 4:30 PM Saturday, Nov. 22, 1975. She had been in ill health for two months. Born near Dayton, she was reared in the Lafayette area. She was married in 1919, at Danville, IL, to William Michael Scanlon. He was a former Ralston Purina employee who died in 1964. Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Walter) Derment of Lafayette, and Mildred (Mrs. Lawrence) Schupbach of Brookston; a sister, Mrs. Stella D. Ledman of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Service Nov. 26 in Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Henry C. Stolldorf officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
