H. Mark Gulliver *
H. Mark Gulliver, 77, Friedens, died Oct. 10, 2017 at home. Born Sept. 9, 1940 in Roaring Creek, PA, son of Harry Roosevelt and Gladys D. (Tyson) Gulliver. Preceded in death by parents, brother Jack Gulliver, and sister Gloria Barrett. Survived by his wife of 47 years the former Janet Shockey; son Jim E. Gulliver, Melbourne, Fla.; granddaughter Emily Gulliver; sister Madge Hicks, La Crescenta, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. He was a special Pappy to his younger nieces and nephews, and he loved his best friends Buddy and Thaddeus. He was a retired self employed truck driver. Member of Somerset Alliance Church, Somerset Lodge 358 F. and A.M., Jaffa Temple Shrine, and the Over-The-Hill Gang. He enjoyed feeding the birds and playing with his dogs. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Somerset Alliance Church. Rev. Dr. Scott Ream officiating. Interment Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
