H. Paul Rogers

Farnam — H. Paul Rogers, 89, of Farnam, died January 23, 1996 at a Curtis Nursing Home.

He was born September 7, 1906 in Frontier County to Harvey and Nancy Ann Hall Rogers and graduated from Orafino High School in 1925.

He married Myrtle Volkmann on August 16, 1932 at Norton, Kansas. He farmed in the Orafino area until the drought period of the 1930’s, when he began trucking livestock to Omaha. They moved to Eustis in 1934 and he continued trucking.

In 1962, they moved to Farnam and he worked for hay mills in Cozad and Gothenburg.

Survivors include his wife of Farnam; a brother, Everett; a sister, Lela Hoy of Parker, Colorado; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Farnam Church of the Nazarene in Farnam with the Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Burial will be in the West Cemetery at Eustis.

Memorials are suggested to the Farnam Church of the Nazarene or the Sunset Haven Nursing home in Curtis.

Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. today at Blase Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg, which is in charge of the arrangements.
