Harold L Gainer *
Harold Louis Gainer, 72, of Pt. Pleasant Road, Belington, died Sunday morning, February 3, in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville, Ohio. He was born April 1, 1935, near Belington, the only son of the late Ray L. And Eva C. (Hill) Gaynor. On June 13, 1959, he married the former Phyllis Luana Wilmoth, who preceded him in death on July 17, 1991.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry R. Allen and husband, Kenny, Belington, Loretta L. Daugherty and husband, Jeffrey, Ravenna, Oh.; four sons, Timothy R. Gainer and wife, Sheila, Zanesville, Louis H. Gainer and wife Willa Kay, Hedgesville, Scott A. Gainer and wife, Valerie, Martinsburg, Todd L. Gainer and wife, Shelly, Moatsville; fourteen grandchildren, Zachary, Tiffany, Brittany, Vickie, Rachel, Brandon, Jacob, Brooke, Nicholas, Andrew, Emily, Cole, Hunter and Chase; and one great grandson, Ian.
Mr. Gainer was a retired truck driver in coal mining. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and enjoyed hunting, fishing and talking on his Citizens Band radio.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Avenue, Belington. Tim Gainer, will officiate and interment will follow in the Holbert Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M., the funeral hour, on Wednesday.
