Herbert A Rock *
Herbert A Rock, 47, of 1309 N 14th St, died at 6 pm Sunday in Lafayette Healthcare Center. He had been in ill health since May. A self employed carpenter, Mr Rock was born in 1937 in Lafayette and had spent all his life here. His first marriage was to Margaret Ward in 1957. On Jun 23, 1984 he married Norma J Decker in Lafayette, who survives. He was a member of Pentecostal Church of God and Knights of Pythias Lodge 51. Surviving with the widow are a son, Arnold C Rock of Logansport, 4 daughters Mrs Joseph (Julianna L) Harris, Mrs Constance Trueblood, Mrs Sandra Ebert and Miss Lisa Rock all of Lafayette, 4 step sons, Steve and Mark Decker of Danville, Illnois, William Landis and Corey Morinskey, both of Lafayette, two step daughters, Mrs Salvadore (Constance) Carrillo of Oakwood, Illinois, and Mrs Armondo (Tracy) Godina of Lafayette and his stepmother Mrs Mary Rock of Rockfield. Also five brothers, Wilbur, Howard and Mike Rock all of Lafayette, Robert Rock of Canton, Ohio, and James Rock of Pittsburg, four sisters, Mrs John (Ethel) Worth, Mrs Gordon (Shirley) Ingle and Mrs Martha Shaw, all of Lafayette, and Mrs Beulah Stewart of Brookston, a half brother Cecil E Rock of Delphi, and thre half sisters, Miss Ruth A Rock of Lafayette, Miss Rose Mary Rock of Delphi and Mrs Dale (Rosealie) Matig of Rockfield. Surving are five grandchildren and 10 step grandchildren.
