J.D. Cox
Vinita—Funeral arrangements are pending for J.D. Cox, 68-year-old native Craig countian who died Monday in a local hospital after a short illness. Luginbuel Brothers Funeral home is in charge.
Cox, a retired farmer, was born in 1886 near Vinita and had resided in the county all his life.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Cora Vanhooser, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Lucille Pitts, Aberdeen, Md.; one son, James, Vinita; five half-brothers, Bill, Bob and Bud Cox, all of the Estella community west of Vinita, and Elbert Lawrence, Tulsa, and Forrest Lawrence, Muskogee; two half-sisters, Mrs. Vina Patrick, Vinita, and Mrs. Juanita Johnson, Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
