MR. JAMES E. SHOCKEY, 60, of 6009 Anthony Highway, Waynesboro, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, in his home. His death was unexpected and attributed to natural causes. Born January 4, 1951 in Orlando, FL, he was the son of the late George A. and Kathryn M. (Frampton) Shockey. He lived most of his life in the Waynesboro area. Jim graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the class of 1970. He was an orderly at the Waynesboro Hospital for over 42 years, retiring on October 11, 2010. He was also a bus driver for D&S Buses for many years. Jim was a former member of the fire police in Waynesboro and Mont Alto. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. He also enjoyed collecting buses, Hess Trucks, NASCAR items, t-shirts, and hats. He is survived by one sister, Sally Parr and her husband Larry of Waynesboro; three nieces, Emmy Miner and her husband Jeff of Fayetteville, Megan Kauffman of Mont Alto, and Abbie Parr of Waynesboro; and one great niece, Keira Jade Gift of Mont Alto. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Ardentsville, PA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
