John William Shockey
Fayetteville – John William Shockey, 66, of Fayetteville died at 1 a.m. Wednesday at the home of a son, W. J. of Oak Hill, after a short illness. He was a retired miner. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Bell Brown Shockey; one other son, Houston of Fayetteville; three daughters, Mrs. Savannah Throwe of Norwalk, Calif., Mrs. Ida Martin of Oak Hill, and Mrs. Viola Smith of Clinton, Okla.; two brothers, Walter and Dennis, both of Fayetteville, Route 1; and four sisters, Mrs. Annie Bennett, Mrs. Patty Nugen, and Mrs. Clara Roach, all of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Lena Holstein of Long Branch. The body is at Tyree Funeral Home at Oak Hill pending completion of funeral arrangements.
FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR JOHN SHOCKEY – Funeral services for John William Shockey, 66, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Tyree Funeral Home Chapel at Oak Hill by the Rev. C. S. Donnelly. Burial will be in Treadway Cemetery at Oak Hill. Shockey died Wednesday at the home of a son, W. J. of Oak Hill.
