Joyce A Shockey *
Joyce A. Shockey, 83, formerly of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant in Monroe. She was born in Middletown on December 13, 1939, to parents, Newton and Mary (Maus) Kelhoffer.
Joyce devoted her time to making a loving home for her family. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Joyce was an avid card player and loved going to the casinos. She also enjoyed watching sports and bowling with her bowling league. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by children, David (Katrina) Shockey, Sam (Kimber) Shockey and Susie (Lance) Green; sister, Peggy (Gerald) Eversole; brother, Bud Kelhoffer; and four grandchildren, Nathaniel Shockey, Zach Shockey, Kylie Green and L. J. Green.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David R. Shockey.
Prayer Service will be Friday, September 29, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Deacon Larry Gronas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
