Karyn Turk *
CHAMPAIGN – It is with great sadness that the family of Karyn S. Turk announce her peaceful passing on Feb. 23, 2024, at the age of 83 years young.
She was born on July 31, 1940, in Champaign, to Russell (Alfred) and Dorothy (Ohms) Fulfer.
She is survived by her children, Mark Turk, Lony (Richard) Folts and Danielle (Mark) Lowry; brother Jim (Pam) Fulfer; sister, Cindy (David) Lashbrook; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two grandsons, Matt (Rose) Shockey and Erik Turk; her bonus grandson, Paul Folts; bonus granddaughter, Kathryn (Patrick) Webb; great-grandson, Cameron Shockey; great-granddaughter, Meredith Shockey; and, most importantly, her doggie, Sami Le.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Dorothy Fulfer, and brother Thomas (Tommy) Fulfer.
Karyn’s hobbies included being in her backyard and feeding all the small animals, critters and birdies. She loved frolicking with her crystals and the power they possessed. She also strongly believed in homeopathic medicine.
There will be a celebration of life Thursday, March 14, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 710 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
