Lawrence Edwin Cunningham

Lawrence Edwin , a retired telephone company employee from Fort Worth, died yesterday at his residence. He was 61.  Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.  Mr. Cunningham was born in Fort Worth. He was a lifetime resident.  He worked for Southwestern Telephone Co. for 36 years until his retirement in . He was supervising service , spending most his career in the plant department. He was staff supervisor of buildings at the time of his retirement.  He served in theMerchant Marines and the Army during World War II.  He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a charter member of the Fort Worth Sundown Kiwanis Club, a member of Pioneer Trailblazers Camping Club and Tarrant Lodge No. 942.  Mr. Cunningham was a member of River Oaks Methodist Church.  Survivors: Wife, Neva Jo Cunningham of Fort Worth; mother, Pearl Cunningham of Fort Worth; one son, Mark E. Cunningham of Fort Worth; two daughters, Marsha Gillespie and Mary Ann Traina, both of Fort Worth; two sisters, Vera Ball of Tehachapi, Calif., and Opal Inez of Saginaw; one brother, Charles Cunningham of Dallas; and six grandchildren.
