Lela M Hendershot *
Lela Mae Hendershot, 80, of Clear Spring, MD, passed away, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at her home.
Born Monday, July 5, 1943 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late David Harry Hamby and the late Lela Irene (Bartles) Hamby.
Lela graduated from South Hagerstown High School. She attended Grace Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband Perry Leon Hendershot, son, Mark V. Hendershot and wife Kelly, daughter, Sherry J. Hill and husband Terry, son, Rodney D. Hendershot and wife Susan, sister, Carolyn Jean Shockey, and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 10:30 am, at the Broadfording Church Cemetery, Broadfording Church Road Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Curtis Hendershot and Pastor Herman Fisler officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grace Bible Church 2327 Hoffman Road, Greencastle, PA 17225 or Hospice of Washington County 1710 Underpass Way, Suite 300, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
