Linda G. Baer *

Linda G. () , 65, of Spring Church, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, , in her home, with her family by her side, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born Jan. 16, 1953, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Dale T. and Belva G. (Stitt) Shockey.

Linda was a graduate of Apollo High School. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for over 35 years, employed for 25 years by Dr. Patel. Linda loved spending time with her family, and her cats, Pebbles and Sadie. She enjoyed sports, monthly dinners with her former classmates, helping with the PA Hero Walk, serving as secretary of her ladies bowling league, playing bingo and trips to the casinos.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sister, Louise ; and mother-in- Della Johns.

Survivors include three sons, Scott (Stacie) Baer, Keith (Sersia) Baer, and Erik (Heather McCracken) Baer; five grandchildren, Dylan and Foster, Reagan and McCracken and McKinley Baer; two brothers, Thomas (Barbara) Shockey and Jack (Barbara Calizzi) Shockey; special cousin, (Craig) ; and numerous nieces and cousins. A special thank you to the special friends who were so gracious and helpful to her throughout the years.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
