Linda K Davenport *
Linda Kathleen (Kate) Davenport 1950-2009 Kate Davenport was born September 1, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Carroll High School in Grapevine, Texas, in 1968, and was married to her husband, Mikail, of 24 years on June 29, 1985. Kate received her Masters in Psychology from The MacGregor School of Antioch University in 1994. Her life’s work included radio, television, theatre, psychotherapy, and dedicated service to humanity. Kate is survived by her husband, Mikail John Harris Davenport; mother, Valena White; brother Richard Shockey and wife, Susan; sister, Cynthia Million and husband, Ronald; brother, John Thompson and wife, Judy; nieces Allison Million and Christie Thompson; nephews Heath Shockey, Clint Shockey, Ryan Million, Evan Million, and Clifford Thompson. In her psychotherapy work, she lovingly served her clients in understanding and reaching their fullest human potential. She was an active and contributing member of her church, serving the youth and young adults, co-managing spiritual retreats, maintaining the church’s flora, and many other areas of service. Kate was an exceptional example of Christian faith and life. A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Conscious Harmony, 7406 Newhall Lane, Austin, Texas, on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 at 1:30pm.
