Linda K Smith *
Linda Kay (Shoop) Smith passed away quietly early September 2 at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. She was born May 27, 1942 to Paul O. Shoop and Pauline Ruth (Styles) Shoop, both deceased.
Linda married Paul E. Smith (deceased) in 1963, they later divorced. Linda is survived by a son, Brian Smith (Jamie), Cleveland; a daughter, Lucinda Hingson (Tim), Findlay; three grandsons, Cameron, Elijah, Izaak; a brother, Richard Shoop, Findlay; a niece, Nicole, and a nephew, Casey. Another nephew, Heath, is deceased.
Linda graduated from Liberty Benton High School in 1960 and attended Findlay College. She started her career at the legal firm Drake & Phillips in Findlay and worked as a legal assistant over thirty years before retiring in Toledo in 2008. Among her many interests, Linda enjoyed volunteering to help others learn to read through the Toledo Public Library. She also loved genealogy research, assisting others through genealogy forums on the internet and reminiscing over old family photos with her cousins at family reunions.
