Lois J Shockey
Shockey, Lois Jean (nee: King), 88, of South Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully Friday, September 15, 2023 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born September 15, 1935, in Kite, KY to Griggs and Ethel (nee: Hall) King. She was a longtime member First Baptist Church of South Lebanon. She was a graduate of Wayland High School. Lois loved her life raising her children, going on vacation with her family, to the race track after church to support her husband and son, especially loved taking care of her grandsons and watching sporting events. She was an avid sports fan, but loved watching the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bearcats basketball.
Proceeded in death by her parents, her two brothers Ollie James King and Byron King. She will be remembered by her husband, of 68 years, Clifford Shockey, daughters Jeannie (Mike) Scott and Sandy (Scott) Foley, and son Craig (Angie) Shockey. Grandchildren Jeffrey Shockey, Tyler Shockey, Brittany Warner and Michael Shockey. Brother Jim Bob (Chelsey) King, sisters Doris (late: Ray) Waddles, Carolyn (Ken) Gayheart, Phyllis (Marvin) Hall and several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and service will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A private burial will follow. All services at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon. Pastor David Frasure to officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
