Margie Belle Shockey
MARGIE BELLE SHOCKEY, aged 50, widow of Charles Leslie Shockey, died at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon at her home near Rouzerville, Waynesboro R. R. 1. She had been in failing health for the last three years and was critically ill and confined to her bed most of the time for the past two months. She was born in Waynesboro, the daughter of William and Nannie (Lohman) Miller. Most of her life was lived in the vicinity of Roadside. For the past nine and a half years she had lived at her present residence. Her husband died in December, 1945. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Calvin Koons, Waynesboro R. R. 3; Mrs. Bessie Socks, Hagerstown, Md.; Mrs. Paul Weddle, Waynesbbro R. R. 4; Mrs. Russell Rouzer, Waynesboro R. R. 4; Doris, Donna and Robert at home: seven grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Aldus Wagonhouser and one brother, Frank B. Miller, Waynesboro R. R. 4. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. H. F. Coffelt. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
