Marjorie A. Shockey *
Delphi – Marjorie A. Mack Shockey, 91, of Delphi, passed away Monday-June 7, 2021, at 3:45pm, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born April 11, 1930 in Bedford, to the late Alfred Mack and Avis P. Hudson Knight. Her marriage was to Lyle E. Shockey in Lafayette, on August 26, 1946, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2013. She attended high school in Bedford, and graduated from the Lafayette Beauty Academy. She operated a salon at her home in Delphi for many years, and was a waitress at Robert’s Restaurant in Americus for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, and going fishing with her husband. She loved to bake, especially cookies for her grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motorhome. Surviving: daughter in law-Debbie Shockey of Delphi; granddaughters-Marjorie Ann Shockey of Lafayette, and Amanda & Ray Trublood of Lafayette; great grandson’s: Xzavier Shockey, Jeromiah Shockey, & Jackson Trublood; step grandchildren: Lana Crum of Cutler, Richard Goris Jr of Rossville; 5 step great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by her son Dennis Shockey, and a brother Fred Mack. There will be no services at this time. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi. Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi, is assisting the family with arrangements.
