Martha J Shockey *
Our mother, Martha Shockey, peacefully passed away on March 16th, 2023, at the age of 75. She was born in Gardendale, TX. After High School, she met and married her husband, Paul Shockey, who served in the US Marine Corps. They spent over 42 years happily married, experienced many adventures, and raised three children. Finally, they settled here in Colorado Springs in their later years. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends; going to luncheons, events, craft fairs, and–one of her favorite pass times–shopping at Ross Auction. She was a giving person who watched out for her friends and family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul (Gunny), son Paul Jr., sister Nancy, and nephew Steve.
She is survived by her daughters, Felicia (Jeff) and Shari. Her legacy will be forever cherished in the lives of her grandchildren: Edward, Tyler, Allison, Austin (Maria), Caleb, Taryn (Justin), Brennen and Great-Granddaughter Cytlani; and she is also survived by her niece Shelby and nephew Stacey.
She was well-loved by her friends as a member of the community at Holiday Village. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on March 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm which will be held at Holiday Village Club House. Come and share your story and memories with friends and family.
